Plant Selection
Up until this point, plant form, texture, color and size have been considered in the preparation of the Conceptual Design. The next step is to assign a name to each plant. Plants are selected on the basis of climatic adaptability to the microclimate of the location, resistance to known predators if applicable, plant architecture and availability.

Stone Associates uses plant databases such as Horticopia (www.horticopia.com) and is knowledgeable of current plant availability at wholesale and retail nurseries in your local area. A Plant Supplement can be provided with photographs and characteristics of the key plant material in your Landscape Design.
