This homeowner felt their federal style home lacked in architectural interest and was poorly situation into the elevations of the lot. They also had added an addition and the resulting access to the new space was difficult to maneuver as were the previous front and back walkways. The Design Solution: A new front entry was installed and decorative moldings added above the lower windows to add dimension to the front of the home. Tiered natural stone retaining walls were added to allow for a comfortable transition of steps and walkways to maneuver the front and back elevations and to create container gardens for planting. |

Our suggestion was for a natural stone walk to compliment the suggested boulder retaining walls, but the client opted for pavers and stacked stone due to budget considerations. A waterfall and pond
were positioned offering beautiful views from their home and newly installed
rear patio. |

Stone Associates helped these homeowners to find a professional to install their hardscape and pond and they plan to install their plantings themselves. While they began the planting phase, like most do-it-yourselfers they will install over time as their budget allows. Stone Associates is available to help them procure plant material through their wholesale local resources. Note: Planting Installation is Work-In-Progress |
