These homeowners took on a major architectural renovation of their lake-front home. Clearly the husband and wife team share different tastes in terms of styles as evidenced by the Country Styling of the Front of the home and Contemporary Styling of the Rear of the Home. Indeed as lovely as the renovation is, the abundance and assortment of hardsape material needed to be pulled together. |

We suggested a wet laid blue stone front walkway and adjoining patios that tied the front, side and back areas of the home together in a pattern that suited both country and contemporary styling. A stone retaining wall was constructed and river stone added at lake-side to provide a neat yet natural transition from lawn to lake. With the assistance of our associate, Marty Carson of Three Seasons Inc., a planting plan was designed to soften the hard edges of the retaining walls and walkways at the same time offer all-season interest of colors and textures. |

large shrubs were strategically situated to add a dimension of height
to the front of the home. |
